Jackie Johnson
Jackie graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at St. Clair College in Windsor in 1992. She then joined us here at Kincardine Veterinary Services as hospital manager. Jackie resides in Ripley with her husband Dan, son Mathew, daughter Hayley and feline friend Scout (see here in picture).
Veterinary Technicians
Cheryl Johnston
Cheryl obtained her Veterinary Technology diploma at Ridgetown College in 1995. After graduating she worked in small animal clinics in Oakville, St. George, Brantford, Hamilton, Burlington and finally a small animal and equine clinic in Cambridge. In January of 2008, Cheryl and her husband Lyndon welcomed the birth of their first son Ewan, as well as moved to Lyndon's hometown of Lucknow. In October of 2008 she became part of our team. Cheryl, Lyndon and Ewan share their home with Grissom, a border collie mix and their two cats Willows and Iris. They are expecting thier second child in June of 2010 and Cheryl is currently on maternity leave.
Jennifer McQuillan
Jenn went to Ridgetown college where she graduated with her Veterinary
Technician diploma in 2007. She grew up in Stratford and worked in Kitchener for 2 years in a small animal clinic. In March 2009, Jenn moved to Tara to live with her partner Mike. They have two hounds named Anni (seen here in picture) and Winston and two cats named Sydney and Aussie. She joined our team in December 2009.
Melissa Rogers
Melissa graduated from St. Clair College in 2007, that same year she moved to
Thunder Bay, working at a clinic while her boyfriend Corey finished school. In May 2009, they moved to Port Elgin where they reside with their dog Hemi (seen in picture) and two cats Chaos and Gina. Melissa started here in December for 2009.
Julie Gravel
Julie graduated from College Boreal school in New Liskard in May 1999 with a diploma for Veterinary Technician. She was raised on a dairy farm in Earlton. After graduation Julie worked as a technician in Alberta. Then she worked in Schomberg but decided to make a change to Kincardine and started working for us May 2007. Julie and partner Tom welcomed a baby girl, Ella, in January 2009 and she is currently on maternity leave.
Alicia Askes
Alicia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Biology from the University of Guelph (2006) and graduated from Ridgetown College with a Veterinary Technology diploma in May 2008, completing her Registered Veterinary Technician exam shortly after graduation. Subsequently she joined our team. Alicia and her husband Trevor just had their first son, Derk, and Alicia is currently enjoying maternity leave. Her family also includes two dogs, Hershey and Ty and two cats Venus and Louis.

Jen Joyce
Jen came to us in March of 2009 to fill in for a maternity leave and decided to stay on. Hailing from Sarnia, she had an early interest in Martial Arts starting at the age of 11. After graduating high school, she began teaching martial arts and self-defense classes to men, women and children. Having experience in Kenpo Karate, Kickboxing, Thai Boxing and weapons training (including knife, single stick and double stick training) she instructed for 5 years. She then decided to do security work at a charity casino, spending 4 years with the security department and another 2 1/2 with the marketing department. After almost 7 years in the casion industry, Jen moved to Kincardine. We happily took her on to be our Customer Service Representative.

Patient Care
Jacob Farrell
Coming from a family Dairy farm, Jacob enjoys taking care of our smaller patients. He is very involved in 4-H and keeps busy showing dairy calves. Along with playing the guitar and banjo, he also likes four-wheeling and riding around on his snowmobile. Jacob plans on taking over the family farm someday.
Ivy Wolvekamp
Ivy has returned to help Jacob out with our wonderful patients for the summer She will be returning to University in September. We have missed Ivy and are happy she will be with us for this short term.
