Dr. Allison Hooper
 |
After completing high school in Ottawa, Dr. Allison Hooper attended the University of Guelph with the sole intention of entering the veterinary program here. Admittance to the program can be very difficult as high academic standing is imperative. After her first year at University, Allison received the Fesseden-Trott scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to a student completing first Year University with academic excellence. She was granted a position into the veterinary college subsequent to this achievement. Dr. Hooper completed her veterinary student externship at Kincardine Veterinary Clinic in the summer of 1985. The location allowed her to continue her much loved hobby of scuba diving in the National Park at Tobermory. After graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1986, Allison returned to Kincardine as she could not imagine living anywhere else but in Bruce County within close proximity to her hobby. Allison has continued to develop her skills in small animal medicine and surgery. Having a keen interest in chiropractic medicin, she carries out "adjustments" in dogs and cats.
